Billy Russell Carpenter

Billy Russell Carpenter, 43, of Ripley, Ohio formerly of Mt. Carmel, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his residence in Ripley.

He was born December 19, 1979 in Maysville, Kentucky to William Russell Carpenter and Karen Sue Johnson Carpenter.

Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending as much time as he could with his family. He was a factory worker, previously for Tyson foods and currently employeed for Deimling Jeliho Plastic Incorporated. 

He is survived by his parents, William "Bill" and Karen Carpenter of Mt. Carmel; one brother, Jacob (Beckie) Carpenter of Ewing, Kentucky; one sister, Loretta (Josh) Patton of Hillsboro, Kentucky; two nieces, Karissa Carpenter and Courtney Riley; one great niece, Annie Adams; six nephews, Hunter and Isaiah Carpenter, Jeremy and Jacob Patton, Dalton Riley, and Shawn Adams.

Billy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clinton and Mae Johnson; paternal grandparents, Carl and Rosie Carpenter; two cousins, Johnny Cropper and Wesley Landsaw; two aunts, Rosetta Carpenter and Thelma Darlington; three uncles, Jack Darlington, Marlin Carpenter, and Allen Carpenter.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 29, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Pastor Tony Corns officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Hunter Carpenter, Corey Carpenter, Robert Carpenter, Carl Ray Darlington, Tommy Reid, and Terry Underwood.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jacob Patton, Isaiah Carpenter, Karissa Carpenter, Courtney Riley, Jeremy Patton, Dalton Riley, Shawn Adams and Annie Adams.
