Bonnie Hickerson Coffey, 90 of Dudley Hollow Road, Wallingford, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky after an extended illness. She was born August 1, 1933, in Wallingford, to the late Harold and Goldie Ethel Florence Hickerson.

She was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Flemingsburg and was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed keeping a clean house. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends at holidays, family reunions and get-togethers. Bonnie also enjoyed caring for her animals which included horses, dogs and especially her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Louis "Louie" Coffey, son, Jimmy Coffey, daughter, Marcella Cooper, brother, Scott Hickerson and sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Buddy McIntyre.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Hester of Ashland, Kentucky and Lita (Wes) Story of Wallingford.  Two brothers: Steve (Linda) Hickerson of Tollesboro, Kentucky and Gary (Ginger) Hickerson of Troy, Ohio. A sister-in-law, Wilma Hickerson of Lucasville, Ohio. Nine grandchildren: Amanda Bigelow, Devona Dotson, Brian Keith (Rainie) Hester, Nickie Dawn (Matt) Smith, Sophrina (Stephen) Story, Becky Glasscock, Danielle Marie (Wes Cunningham) Story, Brad (Hope Earlywine) Story and Jordan Story. Fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial for Bonnie Hickerson Coffey will be celebrated 12:00 P.M. Monday, April 1, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Flemingsburg with Father Phil Devous officiating.

Bonnie will be laid to rest next to her husband Louie in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Monday.

Pall bearers will be Brian Hester, Brad Story, Jordan Story, Carter Bigelow, Cooper Dotson and Campbell Dotson.
