Brenda Donahue

August 31, 1948 — March 10, 2014

Brenda Vice Donahue, of Elizaville, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on August 31, 1948 in Lexington, KY to Geneva Vice and the late Charles Vice. A Kentucky Colonel, Brenda was a retired Judicial Secretary who worked alongside Hon. W. Todd Walton. She was proud of her involvement with the CASA Program. CASA was something that was very dear to her. She worked close to the volunteers that she also called friends.

Brenda had many loves. Her family and friends were the most important things in her life. She loved spending time with her husband, daughter, and grandchildren. She loved going to Lake Cumberland, working in her flower beds, hosting friends at her home, being 'out and about' with Ronnie in the Corvette and having all her grandchildren at her home at one time. Brenda cherished her family and her friends. Her friends were many as she never met a stranger. She always was the person whom other people would turn to for advice, support, and a great laugh. She always had a smile that would light up any room. Brenda also had her very strong Catholic Faith since childhood. She loved and adored her church family. Brenda will be missed by many. Her smile and love of life will never die. She would not want anybody to mourn, but to rejoice her life.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronnie; her daughter, Kim and her fiance', Mark; grandchildren, Meghan and her fiance', Mark, Jacob and his girlfriend, Kendall, Hannah and her fiance' Derek, Mallory, Keaton, Blaike, and David; her mother, Geneva; brothers, Donnie, and Bobby Joe; and a sister, Lisa Vice. She is preceded in death by her son, Jeff Donahue; and her father, Charles Vice.
