Cecil Wright, 91, of Flemingsburg, widower of Margie Cantrell Wright, to whom he married in 1944, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Hospice of Hope at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Born February 7, 1926 in West Liberty, KY, Cecil was a son of the late Green Berry and Margaret Angie Gambill Wright. Cecil was a union carpenter and retired maintenance supervisor for Western Builders in Dayton, OH.

He is survived by: a daughter, Peggy Sparrow of Florida; two granddaughters, Shannon Miller of Georgia and Debbie Babb of Hawaii; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lee Ronnie Wright of West Liberty, KY; and two sisters, Betty Keeton of Lucasville, OH and Berlene Wright of West, Liberty, KY; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Bobby Wilson and Anita Hall. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Bazzie Raymond Wright; grandsons, Chris Hall and Tony Hall; brothers, Willard Wright, Sandas Wright, and Willis Junior; and sisters, Madgie Cantrell, Vannie Curtis, and Verla Mae Curtis. The family would like to express special thanks to Hospice of Hope for their wonderful care of Cecil. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Rev. J.R. Keeton and Pastor Keith Sergent. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Wilson, Preston Hall, Taylor Hall, Rocky Hunt, Ricky Gibson, and Gary Jolly.
