Charles Donald 'Donnie' Vice, 73, of Sherburne, KY, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Donnie was born September 9, 1941 in Fleming County to Geneva Vice of Craintown. Donnie retired in 2001 from Kentucky State Highway Department District #9 after 41 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed his favorite past time of farming.

Donnie Vice was a beloved husband to his wife of 29 years, Patsy Vice. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by: his father, Charles J. Vice; a son, Howard Donald 'Howie' Vice; a sister, Brenda Donahue; a brother, Scotty Vice; and a nephew, Jeff Donahue. He is survived by his wife Patsy Vice; his mother, Geneva Vice; his daughter, Julie (Mark) Morris of Savannah, GA; his step-children, Sherri (Kevin) Scott, April (Timmy) Jolly, Jamie Tackett, Travis (Melissa) Tackett; his grandchildren, C'onia (Brandon) Fitch, Michele (Crystal) Scott, Jessica (Frankie) Stepp, Sadee Scott, Kristen, Katelyn, and Kelsie Jolly, Ethan Tackett, Tyler Story, Katie (Nathan) Adamson, and Justin Morris; his great-grandchildren, Nola and Gavin Fitch, Lexi, Scarlett, Eliza, and Sofia Scott; his brother, Bobby Joe (Peggy) Vice; his sister Lisa Ann Vice; and his niece, Kim Selby.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. James Hickerson. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Tuesday, March 24th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and the Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1843. Active pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Joe Kissick, Ricky King, Eddie Koehler, Joe Callahan, Sonny Roark, and D.W. Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Sandy Toy, Jane Mers, Tommy Carpenter, Marvin Calvert, Earl Anderson, Bob Baily, and Paul Ford.
