Christine Harmon, 84, of Tilton, widow of Kenneth Paul Harmon, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013. She was born September 10, 1929 in Dalesburg, KY to the late Clarice Million Sparks and the late Rev. W.T. Sparks. Christine worked at Dunbar Drug Store and Colonial Village Pharmacy. She was a member of Tilton Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Christine was very faithful to her church and to her family. She is survived by; four children, Garey (Cyndy) Harmon of Tilton, Keith (Missy) Harmon of Flemingsburg, Paula (Curtis) Hawkins of Tilton, and Lisa (Phillip) Wagoner of Flemingsburg; six grandchildren, Derek (Bethany Price) Harmon, Blake (Betsy) Harmon, Daniel Harmon, Dustin Hawkins, Molly Hawkins, and Sara Wagoner, all of Fleming County; two great-grandchildren, Ty Hawkins and Claire Harmon; a sister, Bernice Porter of Oletha, KS; a brother, Clyde Sparks of Lexington; a brother-in-law, Ray King of Cold Springs, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; two sisters, Edith Mineer and Virginia Lowe Schwartz; and a brother, Elwood Sparks. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Jim Wilson. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, November 8th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Derek Harmon, Blake Harmon, Daniel Harmon, Dustin Hawkins, Curtis Hawkins, and Phillip Wagoner.
