Clifford Louis Keaton, 80 of Hillsboro, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at UK St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky. 

He was born April 30, 1946, in Miamiville, Ohio, a son of the late Elvin Keaton and Christine Routt Keaton.

Clifford was a farmer and enjoyed fishing, hunting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Keaton and Roger Keaton; two sisters, Emma Fultz and Anita Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Johnny Keaton of Maysville, Kentucky; one daughter, Cindy (Douglas) Whisman of Hillsboro; one sister, Joyce Salcedo of Williamsburg Ohio; four grandchildren, Dustin Keaton, Courtney Young, Jessica Appleman, and Carol Keaton; eight great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg, with Pastor Jerry Boling officiating.

Clifford will be laid to rest in the Denton Cemetery on Lower Rock Lick Road in Hillsboro.

Visitation is after 12 noon till the hour of service at the funeral home. 

Casket bearers will be Douglas Whisman, Andrew Appleman, Devin Villani, Dustin Keaton, Stevie Keaton, and Travis Gallagher.
