Curtis Neil Owens Gulley, 39, of Morehead, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the UK St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead surrounded by his beloved family.
He was born October 5, 1985, in Mason County, Kentucky a son of the late Ricky David Gulley and Teresa Owens Hilterbrand.
Curtis proudly served in the Kentucky National Guard 299th Chemical Company in Maysville, Kentucky. He was an adventurer who enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, hiking, fishing and hunting. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Jimmy Hilterbrand; foster dad, Ronnie Richmond; maternal grandmother, Mildred Irene Owens; paternal grandparents, John Olsel and Julia Faye Gulley.
Survivors include his daughter, Hailey Grace Gulley; one brother, David Gulley of Muses Mill; two sisters, Dessie Trent (Brett McCormick) of Mt. Sterling and Amanda Cierra Lynn Gulley (Bryan Earlywine) of Morehead, maternal grandfather, Robert Owens of Lewis County, his foster mother, Rose Richmond of Wallingford; step brothers, Scott Hilterbrand (Betty) of Muses Mill, Jamie Hilterbrand of Lexington, and Jeremy Hilterbrand (Angela) of Pendleton County; step sister; Mischelle Plank of Maysville; foster sisters, Lisa, Christy, and Felicia; nieces and nephews, Chris Gulley, Lexie Gulley, Kierra Trent, Hannah Gulley; one great niece, Liana Gulley and his best "guy" Andy Ishmael (Ashley) of Morehead. He leaves behind several other relatives and friends that will miss his fun loving "Curt" self.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 22, 2024, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother Doug Reeves officiating.
Curtis will be laid to rest in the Ramey's Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12:00 P.M. Sunday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be David Gulley, Chris Gulley, Bryan Earlywine, Andy Ishmael, Jeremy Sapp, Jeremy Hilterbrand, Seth Wiseman and Scott Hilterbrand.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
