Dana Gene Purper, 70, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born on August 11, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Robert Edison Purper, Sr. and Florence Amelia Voigt Purper.
Dana was a retired mechanic.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Maysville Branch.
Dana enjoyed horseback riding, being outdoors and good food.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Edison Purper Jr. and Buddy Purper, two sisters; Debra Purper and Diane Purper.
Survivors include six daughters, Jolene (Jason) Baer of Florida, Roxanne (Mike) Riddle of Florida, Schellee Diana (Jeff) Beckstrand of Washington, Debbie Purper of Kentucky, Lisa (Charles) Jones of New Mexico and Frieda Purper of Colorado, one brother, Don Purper of Nevada, one sister, Jeannie Purper of Utah, nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with President Waldmann, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Maysville Branch officiating.
Burial will follow in the Muses Mills Cemetery.
Visitation is after 10: A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
