Dorothy Mae Williams entered eternal rest on January 1, 2021 at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Williams, parents Ida and Colonel Holts, brother, Colonel Holts, Jr. Sisters; Mary Hendrix and Barbara Montgomery, nieces, Marilyn Taylor and Katherine Williams. Dorothy is survived by her son Charles A. Williams of Clarksville, Tennessee. Two granddaughters, one grandson, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Sisters; Ida Cutwright of Lexington, Kentucky, Jennie Higgins and Edith Holts of Cincinnati, Ohio. Two brothers, Oliver Holts of Cincinnati, Ohio and Orville Holts of Houston, Texas. Fourteen nieces and nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was born February 10, 1936 the third child and second daughter of Ida and Colonel Holts. She was married to the late Charles Williams.  They were the parents of a son Charles Anthony Williams.

Dorothy traveled extensively in and out of the United States with her husband who was in the United States Army. She loved arts and crafts and was very proficient in crocheting, painting, sewing and building doll houses.

Dorothy was a quiet, private person mainly staying at home caring for her family. She was a grandmother to two granddaughters and one grandson. Great-grandmother to three and great-great-grandmother to one. Prior to falling ill,  she was in the process of crocheting an afghan for her first great-great grandchild. She will be missed by her family and friends. Rest in peace Dorothy.

Private family services will be conducted at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Burial will be in the Fleming County Cemetery.
