Dr. Solter

Dr. Kathleen Solter APRN,DNP, age 67 of Flemingsburg, beloved wife of James H. "Jim" Solter, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Fleming County Hospital. She was born on March 17, 1951 in Covington, KY, a daughter of Lois Irene Edmondson of Covington, and the late George Henry Edmondson. Kathleen was a Doctor of Nursing Practice having received her Masters in Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kentucky, BSN from Eastern Kentucky University, Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky. Kathleen attended the Flemingsburg Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by: daughters, Jennifer Hacker of Punta Gorda, FL and Kerrie Metzger and her husband, Josh of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Avery Hacker, Mira, Ethan and Sophia Metzger; her brother, Josh Edmondson; sister, Emily Mills and her husband, Randy of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the chapel of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Ricky Hurst. Visitation will be 10am-12pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 3:30pm Saturday at the Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the ALS Foundation, P.O. Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022.
