Emma 'Nanny' Jane Boyd, 68, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Flemingsburg on November 18, 1945 to the late James Jackson and Margaret Monroe Boyd. Retired from the U.S. Shoe Factory, Emma was a member of Strawberry Methodist Church. She was an avid sewer and loved playing Bingo, the lottery and Candy Crush. She also loved her I-Pad and going to Virginia Beach for vacation, but most of all, Emma loved her grandchildren and her family.

She is survived by: four daughters, Debora Jane Coleman of Flemingsburg, Pam Coleman of Flemingsburg, Deena (Robbie) Graham of Winchester, and Mary Ann Boyd of Winchester; grandchildren, Keisha, Jaleesa, Lexxus, Jordan, DaVonte', Maya, and Aaliyah; a great-grandson, Braylon; a sister, Hattie Connors; a brother, James 'Hoss' Boyd; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Katherine Boyd and Polly Boyd. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Strawberry Methodist Church, 206 E. Water St. in Flemingsburg. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Thursday, December 5th at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home. Visitation will also be 7am - 9am Friday at the funeral home and 11 am until the hour of service Friday at the church. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Andy Pollitt, Jerry Pollitt, Mike Pollitt, Charlie Lang, Anthony Connors, Robert Connors, Jeff Young, and Robbelle Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Dudley, Matthew Pollitt, Allen Thomas, DaVonte' Boyd, and Jordan Graham. Condolences may be made at www.dentonworkman.com
