Evelyn Mineer, 72, of Flemingsburg, widow of Paul Mineer, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. She was born on February 6, 1941 in Fleming County to the late Otis and Lillian Harmon Ishmael. Evelyn was a former self-employed restaurant owner. She loved to play Bingo, talking to people, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Patty (Frank) Cooper of Flemingsburg; twin sons, Terry and Jerry Dickson, both of Flemingsburg; a grandson, James Patrick O'Bannon; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Josh) Rice of Winchester; step-grandchildren, Chris (Mandy) Cooper and Shawn Cooper, both of Flemingsburg; great-grandchildren, Edward and Paul O'Bannon, Spencer Rice, and Mason Cooper; a cousin, Margaret Kidder; and numerous other relatives. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rob Ishmael. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Thursday, November 7th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.dentonworkman.com
