Frances O. Ransbury, 79, of Flemingsburg, went home to be with Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, due to heart complications. Born February 28, 1934 in Johnson County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Alka Daniels Grimm. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Donald G. Ransbury; four brothers, Homer, Don, Doyle, and Charles Grimm; two sisters, Ruth Arms and Jewel VanHoose.
She is survived by; two daughters, Debi Hawkins of Flemingsburg and Vickie (Anthony) Ball of Wallingford; three grandchildren, Chris Hawkins of Flemingsburg, Shea (Tiffany) Hawkins of Missouri, and Rory Strahm II of Wallingford; two great-granddaughters, Layla and Lilly Hawkins of Missouri; two sisters, Maudie (Gomer) Lazar of Paintsville, KY, and Faye Robbins of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today (Friday, August 2nd) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Hawkins, Shea Hawkins, Rory Strahm, Gary Grimm, Herbert Grimm, and Billy Sapp.
