Gary Dyer

May 2, 1960 — May 2, 2017

Gary Dyer, beloved and faithful husband for 32 years to Beverly Dyer, was born into this world on May 2, 1960 in Cherry Fork, OH, and he left his earthly body behind to be united with our Father in Heaven, 57 years to the day he was born, on May 2, 2017 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, with his family by his side. Gary was a son of William Sanford 'Junior' Dyer of Grange City, and the late Era Dell Stephens Dyer.

A Master Carpenter, he worked and ran his own construction company for many years, doing every single aspect of the job that needed to be done. Gary loved the Lord and he couldn't wait to go worship at his church every Sunday at the House of Prayer in Morehead. When Gary wasn't busy working, he enjoyed tinkering on old cars, trucks, and tractors. He loved being outdoors which also fed his love of farming. But most of all, out of everything, Gary loved his family and friends, and he loved people...and he loved talking to people and getting to know them. Gary will be very missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him...and yet have comfort knowing that he received the ultimate birthday present of all, when he was called Home to be with the Lord on the very day he was born. Besides his beloved wife Beverly, he is survived by: their two sons, Lee Dyer, and Dylan Dyer of Fleming County; a grandson, Jaxon Dyer of Fleming County; his brother, Gerald (Alice) Dyer of Fleming County; two sisters, Kathy (Rick) Hamilton, and Sharon (Bill) McClanahan, both of Fleming County; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, May 5, 2017 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Joseph Cline and Pastor Winston McClurg. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday, May 4th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goddard Cemetery.
