Geneva Vice

January 16, 1922 — June 29, 2016

Geneva Elizabeth McCord Vice passed into her eternal life June 29, 2016 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe. She was born January 16, 1922 to Henry Waterson McCord and Johanna Archdeacon McCord. She was married 70 years to her husband, Charles J. Vice

Geneva was a hard working farmers wife. If she wasn't working on the farm, she was cooking and feeding family or farm hands. She loved her church, St. Charles and was a lifelong member. Her family was her priority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, Sons Scotty and C.D. 'Donnie' Vice, a daughter Brenda Kaye Donahue, and grandsons Howie Vice and Jeff Donahue. She is survived by her son Bobby Joe (Peggy) Vice of Flemingsburg, a daughter Lisa Ann Vice of Flemingsburg, a daughter-in-law Patsy Vice and son-in-law Ronnie Donahue. Also surviving are grandchildren; Kim Donahue, Julie (Mark) Morris. Sherry (Kevin) Scott, April (Timmy) Jolly, Travis (Melissa) Tackett and Jamie Tackett. Great Grandchildren: Meghan (Mark) Dwyer, Jacob and Hannah Creecy, Keaton and Mallory Donahue, Ethan Tackett, Kaitlynn, Kristen, and Kelsie Jolly, C'onia , Michael Jessie and Sadee Scott.

Great Great Granddaughter, Mara Dwyer. Also surviving are sister-in-laws Lyda Vice and Wanda Vice.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Tackett, Tavis Tackett, Jacob Creecy, Keaton Donahue, Edward Plummber, Ethan Tackett and Jimmy Sauer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Debbie Sapp, Pam Schaeffer, Chelsea Sapp, Jo Ann Manning, Mollie Dailey, Geneva Jennings, Kim Hester, Mark Dwyer and Mark Morris.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday July 2, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church officiated by The Rev. Michael E. Comer. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Burial will be in the Elizaville Cemetery.
