Herbert Purvis

Herbert Purvis, 87, of Hillsboro, OH, passed away Thursday morning, August 17, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was born December 11, 1929 in Mt. Sterling, KY, a son of the late James and Sarah Summers Purvis. He is survived by: his wife, Hulda Faye Johnson Purvis, whom he married October 25, 1950; one son, Gregory (Sharon) Purvis of Leesburg, OH; two daughters, Melinda Culbertson of West Union, OH, and Marsha (Michael) Mason of Decatur, OH; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two sons, Clifton Jay Purvis, and Wilton Ray Purvis; six brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be private.
