Ida Klee

Ida Elizabeth Moore Klee, widow of George Robert (Bob) Klee, age 95, died at her home in Flemingsburg from old age on March 16, 2013. Family was with her at the time of death. She was born Ida Elizabeth Moore, October 15, 1917, the daughter of Quince and Minnie Mahorney Moore. Her siblings were James and Jessie Bell Lemons, After her mother's death at an early age, she was raised by her maternal aunt Elizabeth Mahorney Fritz and her husband, Arthur. Their children became her siblings. Deceased among them are C.B. Fritz, Violet Lang, Ruby Hausberger, and Helen Florence. Surviving are Cecilia Gasser and Agnes Sidles of Bourbon County.

Elizabeth's life was as a wife, mother, and homemaker who cared for her husband Bob through his sickness and death in 1986. She then took in her Aunt Nettie Courtney and cared for her until her death. She was well known for her cooking, sewing, and gardening. A convert as a teenager, she was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church for over sixty years and received the Anointing of the Sick the afternoon before her death. She is survived by her four sons and their families - George (wife Annette, children Andrew and Vanessa), Edward (wife Jennifer, children Aaron and Meagan), John (wife Generose, children Elizabeth, Robert, Margaret, Jacob, Mary, Rebekah, Isaac, Stephen, Anne, and Hannah), and Richard (wife Kathy, children Julia, Courtney, and John Richard). She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Church in Flemingsburg on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. The grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Roger Hedger, John Colgan, James Sauer, and Bill Perkins. Visitation at Denton-Workman Funeral Home is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening with prayers at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Charles Church, 211 Mt. Carmel Ave., Flemingsburg, KY 41041 or a charity of choice. Burial will be in Flemingsburg Cemetery.

Denton-Workman Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening with prayers at 6:00 p.m.
