J. McKee

J.C. McKee, 72, husband of Ruth Ann McKee, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born December 29, 1940 in Goddard, he was the son of the late Charles Nelson and Edna Pauline James McKee. A retired farmer, J.C. loved farming, raising tobacco and cattle. He loved his cattle and his collie dogs. J.C. also worked for the County Road Department for several years. In his spare time, he loved mowing the yard and watching NASCAR. J.C. 'got up with the chickens' and loved to be on the go.

Besides his wife Ruth Ann, he is survived by: a daughter, Barbara McKee of Wallingford; three siblings, Pauletta (Denzil) Conley of Wallingford, James McKee of Flemingsburg, and Gayle (Jeff) Turley of Georgetown, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Wasson officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today, Friday, April 19th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goddard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Lytle, Rick Riley, Danny Mattox, Don Flannery, Edward Plummer, and Danny Reeves.
