James Myall Berry

James Myall "Jimmy" Berry, 75, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

Born June 27, 1948, in Maysville, a son of the late Lee Berry and Frances Collins Berry.

Jimmy retired after serving 21 years as the City Clerk for the City of Flemingsburg and after retirement went to work at the Fleming County Hospital as the unit and admission clerk. Jimmy attended the Flemingsburg Church of Nazarene and recently attended the Flemingsburg First Church of God and was also a past president of the Flemingsburg Lions Club and a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a graduate of Fleming County High School. 

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert H. Berry and Jackie Berry.

Survivors include, a nephew, John Berry of Richmond, Kentucky; niece, Jacquelyn Berry also of Richmond; two great nephews, Dylan Berry, and Joel Berry; special friends, Wayne and Paula Bruner of Flemingsburg.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother James Ray Hickerson and Brother Greg Grimes officiating.

Jimmy will be laid to rest in the family plot at the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will take place Friday evening April 12, 2024, from 5 P.M. till 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Casket bearers for Jimmy will be Wayne Bruner, Jerome Bruner, Jordan Bruner, Bill Thomas, Doug Gulley, Hookie Ishmael, John Berry, and Leslie Wells. Honorary casket bearers will be Todd Walton, Joel Berry, Dillon Berry, Tony Horton, Joe Kerns, Danny Carpenter, Jimmy Jett, David McGlone, and Jamie Collinsworth.

All arrangements for James Myall "Jimmy" Berry and family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 405 South Main Cross Street, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041.
