James Dillon

James Brooks Dillon, 90 of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Maysville, Kentucky. He was born April 25, 1932, in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Omar C. and Edith Saunders Dillon.

Mr. Dillon was retired from Randalls in Flemingsburg after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church and he along with his wife enjoyed Flea Markets and yard sales.  Most of all he enjoyed visiting and talking to people. He also farmed and raised tobacco and beef cattle. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing softball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beatrice Bradford Dillon, one brother, Amos Dillon, six sisters, Lida Belle Talley, Opal Darnell, Dorothy Jones, Emma Catherine Glascock, Bernice Crump and Louise Boggs.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Ann (Jeffrey) Dorsey of Homosassa, Florida and Barbara (Gerald) Fizer of Flemingsburg, Kentucky. One sister, Lucille (John) MIller of Marion, Indiana. Four Grandchildren, Justin (June) Dorsey, Craig Dorsey, Kim (Ashley) Bramel and Heather (Michael) Hughes. Five great-grandchildren, Adam Bramel, Aubrey Bramel, Abby Hughes, Dylan Hughes and Luke Hughes. Also, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother Darren Fizer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 12 noon Tuesday.

Pall bearers will be Darren Fizer, Gerald Fizer, Michael Hughes, Ashley Bramel, David Utterback and Adam Bramel.

Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association at www. alz.org Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
