Jamie Dean Smith Marshall, born on September 25, 1989, in Maysville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a short illness due to cancer.
Jamie was a cherished member of the community and a dedicated employee at Clarks Pump and Shop on East Water Street, where her beautiful smile and warm personality endeared her to customers and colleagues alike. Her commitment to her work and her genuine connection with those around her left a lasting impression.
A graduate of Fleming County High School, Jamie was a proud member of the Class of 2008. Jamie had a passion for the arts; she loved to draw, color, and paint, often finding joy in expressing her creativity. Additionally, her fondness for flowers brought her happiness, a reflection of her vibrant spirit.
Jamie will be remembered not only for her talents and passions but for the quality time she spent with her family, which she held dear to her heart.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Ruth Allen and uncle, Bobby Allen.
Jamie is survived by her husband, Jason Ray Marshall; her father, Earl Dean Smith; one brother, Billygene Smith; two aunts who were like her sister, Susan Allen Highfield and Roxanna Browning and husband Chris all of Flemingsburg; her special cousins, Clayton Browning, Zachary Browning, Harley Allen, Aaron Allen, and Shelby Highfield, she watched them grow up and considered them more like her nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Barbara Marshall all of Flemingsburg. Several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M.on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, located at 405 S Main Cross St, Flemingsburg, KY 41041. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Cooper officiating.
Jamie will be laid to rest in the family plot, next to her mother at the Fleming County Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Clayton Browning, Zachary Browning, Chris Browning, Aaron Allen, Harley Allen, and Billygene Smith.
Honorary casket bearer will be Shelby Highfield.
Jamie Dean Smith Marshall will be greatly missed, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial contributions are suggested to her benefit account set up at the Peoples Bank.
All arrangements for Jamie Dean Smith and family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
