Jay Halleran

Jay Anthony Halleran, age 53, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his residence in Lexington. Born on August 9, 1965 in Lexington, he was the son of Janet Halleran of Flemingsburg and the late Joseph Allen Halleran. Jay was an avid Harley-Davidson fan and owned a couple throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed riding, collecting and talking about all things Harley-Davidson. Jay was an outgoing person who made friends wherever he went and was known by all. His nickname "Jay Bird" will forever be remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Besides his mother, he is survived by: his daughter, Kayla Faye Halleran of Lexington; his son, Alex Jay (Laili) Halleran of Georgetown, KY; his brother, Jeffrey (Kathy) Halleran of Flemingsburg; and his two precious grandchildren, Abel Kash Fields and Aleena Faye Halleran. Besides his beloved father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and additional family members. There will be a public visitation from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home. The service and burial will be private.
