Jessie Neudigate

Jessie Fay Neudigate, 92, of Greenville, SC, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greer, SC. She was born in Fleming County on June 24, 1921 to the late Annie and Fletcher Lee.

Mrs. Neudigate retired from the Fleming County School System where she served for 20 years in the Fleming County High School cafeteria. She enjoyed making crafts and cooking. Mrs. Neudigate attended the historic Poston School in Wallingford, KY and was a member of the Flemingburg First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Hemler Neudigate; twin sons, Charles Ray and Wayne Day; two sisters, Chloe Francis McKee and Mary Bell Godwin; and three brothers, Tilden Preston Lee, Henry Woodrow Lee, and Alex Daniel Lee.

Mrs. Neudigate is survived by; two daughters, Barbara (Danny) Higgins and Wanda Lois Cropper, both of Greenville, SC; a sister, Nellie Hazel Conner of Harrison, OH; a special niece, Betty Gulley of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16th at the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Ben Cain. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery.
