Joe Barton

March 2, 1937 — June 16, 2016

Joe Anne 'Cricket' Barton, 79, of Flemingsburg, wife of John Thomas Barton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 16, 2016, in a motor vehicle accident in Nicholas County. Born on March 2, 1937 in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Florine Maxey Alexander.

A homemaker, Joe Anne was a member of the Bald Hill Tabernacle of God. She was a very happy person, always doing for others. Joe Anne loved to read and she also enjoyed the outdoors, raising flowers and working in her garden. She was always giving away the vegetables she'd grown to her family and friends. Joe Anne had an affection for butterflies, and also loved to fish and go four-wheeling with her husband. But, most of all, she loved her family and being around people. One of her favorite things to do was to go and visit with people.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, T.C. Price; son, Thomas Clinton Price, Jr.; brothers, Wayne and Donald Alexander; and sisters, Thelma Whisman, Linda Sue Alexander, and Kathryn Alexander.
