Joyce Carol Conley Porter

Joyce Carol Conley Porter, 77 of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday September 1, 2024 at the Fleming County Hospital.

She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on March 27, 1947, a daughter of the late Johnnie B. Conley and Nellie Ruth Gardner Conley.

Known to many as "Mommy Joyce" she loved and cared for dozens of children as their babysitter. She touched the lives and hearts of all her little ones and their families. Her other true joy was woodworking and crafting, all of which she did with her daughter Glenda. She was also an avid UK fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Glenn Porter; an infant daughter, Sandra Kay Porter; two brothers, John Howard Conley and Billie Gene Conley.

She leaves behind two daughters, Glenda (J.R.) Logan and Karen Porter both of Flemingsburg; one sister, Kathy (John) O'Connor of Goddard, Kentucky; one brother, Wayne (Debbie) Conley of Hillsboro, Kentucky; a very special niece, Allison Conley of Maysville; many other cherished family members and friends. She counted family as life's greatest blessing. She will be loved by many and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Brother David Hickerson officiating.

Joyce will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Goddard Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12 Noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Wayne Conley, Ricky O'Connor, Darrell O'Connor, Corey O'Connor, JR Logan, Phillip Farris, and Richie Gray.

Honorary casket bearer will be John O'Connor.
