Juanita Bishop

Juanita Sloop Bishop, 85, of Maysville, formerly of Flemingsburg, widow of Earl Alexander Bishop, passed away Thursdsay, March 14, 2013 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehab Facility. Born in Mason County on May 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Forest Sloop and Merna DeBell Sloop Breeze. She was retired from U.S. Shoe and a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include: a daughter, Barbara Bishop of Maysville; a son, James Wendell Bishop of Florida; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, Ralph Sloop of Manchester, OH. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Kent Wilson. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Memorials are suggested to Maysville Nursing and Rehab Facility, 620 Parker Rd., Maysville, KY 41056.
