Julia M. Graves, a longtime resident of Flemingsburg, passed away on May 30, 2023, at her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana to George and Mary Irelan Taylor on July 15, 1948.

Julia graduated from Marion High School. She had worked as a cook at Mama's Kitchen in Flemingsburg.

Julia had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed attending the Wallingford Community Church, where she found peace and solace. She loved cooking and baking for her loved ones and collected bells, angels and Pug figurines which adorned her house in Flemingsburg.

Julia was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Her gentle spirit touched the lives of all those who knew her.

She is survived by her son George Graves of Flemingsburg; Lloyd (Nancy) Graves of Fordville, Indiana; George Taylor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Daniel Taylor of Marion, Indiana; Anita Fife of Peru, Indiana; Mary Peacock of Fairmont, Indiana; Mindy Graves (Daughter-in-law) Flemingsburg along with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Graves, son Edward Lee Graves as well as her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Redmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home is after 1:00 pm Saturday.

Pall bearers will be Walter Humfleet, H. E. Gray, Luke Redmon, Larry Caudill, Dougie Dyer, Mike Kennedy, Rodney Cummins and R. D. Cummins.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home 405 South Main Cross Street in Flemingsburg with Pastor Tom Redmon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitastion at the funeral home is after 1:00 pm Saturday.
