Kathy Meade

Kathy L. Meade, age 60 of Floyd County, formerly of Fleming County, widow of Denvard Meade, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at The Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. Born on November 13, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Elvira Mullins Tackett. A homemaker, Kathy was a devoted mother to her children whom she lived her life for. She is survived by: four sons, Warren Meade of Dayton, OH, Denver (Sheila) Meade of Dayton, OH, Boone Meade of Floyd County, KY, and Brett Meade of Floyd County, KY; two daughters, Kelly Jo (Jeff) Groth of Westchester, OH, and Lindsay (Billy) Moore of Floyd County, KY; eighteen grandchildren; ten siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a son, David Meade; and a brother, Darryl Tackett. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2019 in the chapel of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. James Hickerson. Visitation will be 10am–1pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
