Kelly Dyer

August 10, 1937 — June 25, 2013

Kelly Edward Dyer, 75, loving husband for 53 years to Anna Florence Jones Dyer, passed from this life to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Fleming Count Hospital. Born August 10, 1937 in Colfax, KY, he was the son of the late William McKinley and Elizabeth Thomas Tinsley Dyer.

Kelly worked as a construction worker. The two things that he loved to do most in life were fishing and going to church. Kelly was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Clearfield, KY and attended the Apostolic Community Church in Flemingsburg when he was able.

Besides his wife, he is survived by: a son, Scotty (Lisa) Dyer of Flemingsburg; three grandchildren, Danielle Hardin, Braydon Cantrell, and Mikey Cantrell; special friends, Gary and Carol Cantrell, Mark and Virginia Bray, and Bill and Bobby Jones; a sister, Phyllis 'Betty' Glascock of Flemingsburg; and a brother, William Dyer, Jr. of Hillsboro. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: three sisters, Virginia Dyer, Lillie Smoot, and Ethel Kelly; and two brothers, Thomas Edward Dyer and Marvin Dyer.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Apostolic Community Church, 1373 Mockingbird Hill Rd., Flemingsburg, KY 41041 officiated by Bro. O.D. Rudd. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 28th at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday will be 7-10 a.m. at the funeral home and 1 pm until the hour of service at the church. Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Dyer, Gerald Dyer, David Smoot, Josh Dyer, Joshua Glascock, and Bill Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Mikey and Braydon Cantrell.
