Larry Leadingham

Larry Alan Leadingham age 62 of Flemingsburg, beloved husband to Tamara Brown Leadingham, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington. Born April 20, 1956 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Delmas Lawrence and Bertha Kelley Leadingham. Larry was a co-owner along with his lifelong buddies and business partners Steve Allen and Gary Shannon, of ASL Excavating having worked in construction for forty years. A faithful member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Larry was also a wonderful father and papaw, and an amazing husband who loved his family and his church family. He loved his animals and the outdoors, going fishing and sitting by the pond behind his house, as well as farming. Besides his wife, he is survived by: three daughters, Allyson (Tayler) Moore of Flemingsburg, and Amber and Lori Leadingham; his precious granddaughter, Ellanore Allyn Moore of Flemingsburg; three sisters, Carol and Terry Leadingham both of Flemingsburg, and Kathy (Jerry) Schumacher of Maysville; a niece, Caroline Leadingham (Mark Reece) of Aspen, CO; great-niece, Perry Reece of Aspen, CO; and many other extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, May 4, 2018 at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Greg Grimes. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Thursday, May 3rd at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home and 11am-1pm Friday at the church. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tayler Moore, Gary Shannon, Steve Allen, Mason Willoughby, Bobby Reffitt, Jr., Chris Leadingham, Lewis Leadingham, and Henry Cropper. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Reffitt, Sr., Ricky Maze, Jerry Schumacher, Marty Hamilton, Johnny Ruark, Jim Bradley, Chris Mattox, Mark Reece, Wayne Bussell, Donald Brown, Caleb Grimes, and Jamie Collinsworth. Funeral arrangements are in care of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home.
