Marshall Story

Marshall Allen Story, 76, of Flemingsburg, husband of forty years to Loretta Ralls Story, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Fleming County Hospital. Born December 26, 1937 in Maysville, he was a son of the late U.G. 'Buster' and Billie Hawkins Story.

A member of First Church of God in Flemingsburg, Marshall was retired from Fleming County Hospital as a hospital Orderly after twenty-five years of service. Marshall was an avid sports fan, having umpired in Little League Baseball and high school baseball in Indiana. He was a huge UK fan, and Cincinnati Reds fan as well. One of Marshall's favorite past times was to walk and jog around town.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a grandson, Josh of Indiana; a step-son, Howard (Pat) Owens Jr. of Lewis County; two granddaughters, Patricia (Billy) Riley of Lewis County and Paula (Keith) Cooper of Lewis County; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Marion (Rita) Story of Hillsboro, Andrea Story of Rowan County, and Bill (Judy) Story of Hillsboro. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: a son, Danny Story; a step-son, Billy Owens; two brothers, Tommy Story and David Story; and a sister, Peggy Story.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. James Ray Hickerson. Visitation will be 11:00 am until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.carpenterfritzvicefh.com
