Mrs. Mary M. "Puddin" Emmons, 78 of the Hilltop Community in Fleming County, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born August 25, 1942 in Nicholas County, Kentucky to the late Emrie Denton and Pauline McIlvain Flora.
"Puddin' as she was affectionately known was a homemaker and helped on the farm. She enjoyed reading, cooking, going out to eat, talking on the phone with her friends and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a Gold Star Family Member.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lester Emmons who passed away August 26, 2008.
Survivors include her children; Allen Emmons of Dalesburg, Kentucky, Leslie Adams (David) of Fleming County, Kentucky, Renee Cassidy (Mike) and Faye Cline (Terry) all of Bath County, Kentucky. Two brothers; James "Skunk" Flora of Richmond, Kentucky and Jeffrey "Slick" Flora of Nicholas County, Kentucky. Twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Also, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 6:00 pm Friday.
Serving as pall bearers will be Matthew Adams, Stephanie Robinson, Tyler Roberts, Dustin Thomas, Brian Thomas and Jessica Thomas. Honorary bearers will be Ashley Moore, Emma Adams, Jeannie Radar, Dale Emmons, Janice Mahar and Mignon Rucker.
