Mary Hazel Whisman, 84, of Maysville, formerly of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehab Facility. She was born on April 23, 1932 in Bath County, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Mary Bell Bartram Harding. Hazel was a retired Home Health CNA and had attended Wallingford Christian Holiness Church. Hazel loved to cook for her kids and family. She is survived by: two sons, Kenny (Ellen) Fry of Flemingsburg, and Gary Fry of Fairview; seven grandchildren, Melissa Fry (Derrick) Mynhier, Billy (Nichole) Fry, and Chris Fry, all of Wallingford, Adam (Tera) Fry of Tollesboro, Lee Ann Emmons, Chris (Pam) Emmons, and Scott (Amy) Emmons, all of Erlanger; nine great-grandchildren, Hunter Jamison, Cheyenne Mynhier, Dalton Fry, Katie Fogle, Molly Fogle, Jack Fogle, Samuel Emmons, Isaiah Emmons, and Benjamin Emmons; a son-in-law, Elgin Emmons of Erlanger; two sisters, Geneva Mitchell, and Darlene Muse; four brothers, Claude Harding, Sam Harding, Jesse Harding, and Thomas Harding; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Kathy Emmons; and six siblings.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Elgin Emmons. Visitation will be 11am -' 1pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Emmons, Scott Emmons, Billy Fry, Chris Fry, Donald Wallingford, Derrick Mynhier, and Marsha Buckhaven.
