Michael Peters

Michael Duane Peters, 52, of Flemingsburg, went home to be with His Heavenly Father, Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Michael was born on June 12, 1964 in Yuma, AZ, the beloved son of Harold and Phyllis Peters of Flemingsburg.

Michael is also survived by: his sister, Sheri Phillips of Bakersfield, CA; and wife, Tonja Peters. He was a very loving father to his sons, Michael E. and Jimmy Peters of Kansas, Justin Kintz of Texas, and Kyle Crandall of Arizona. Mike was formerly employed by Shirley Roofing in Wichita, KS and most recently by the Fleming County School System. He attended Flemingsburg Baptist Church, where he enjoyed serving his Lord.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Larry Brown. Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Fleming County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Jeff Vice, Steven Howe, Mitch Shields, John Johnson, Greg Dunaway, and Terry Ishmael.

Memorials are suggested to the Flemingsburg Baptist Church, 1856 Elizaville Rd., Flemingsburg, KY 41041. Funeral arrangements are in care of Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home.
