Nora Mckee, 74, of Flemingsburg, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg.
Mrs. McKee was born in Fleming County on October 11, 1938 to the late Buddy and Viola Monroe. A member of Strawberry Methodist Church, Nora worked at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home for several years, Kens New Market for several years, and also Fleming County Hospital for several years. She is survived by: her husband, Arthur McKee; five sons, Terry (Edna) McKee, Aaron (Trish) McKee, Kirk (Lynn) McKee, Van (Peggy) McKee and Tim (the late Roberta) McKee, all of Flemingsburg; two daughters, Denise (Tyrone) Sturdivant and Jackie Mckee, both of Lexington; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William (Rose) Brandy of Detroit, MI, and Rupert (Joyce) Jones of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Hattie May Connors of Flemingsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Dorothy Brandy; a brother, Ronald Brandy; and her grandparents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Denton-Workman Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron McKee Jr., T.J. McKee, Bradley McKee, Bryson McKee, Trey Sturdivant, Robert Connors Jr., Anthony Connor, and Larry Hartley. Honorary Pallberers will be LaToshia McKee, Vanielle McKee, Vicky McKee, Lindsey McKee, and Larkin McKee.
