Jacqueline (Jones) Newman

March 9, 1935 ~ May 14, 2020 (age 85)


Jacqueline J. Newman, age 85, of Flemingsburg, went to Heaven to join the love of her life, her late husband Frank Lowell Newman, on Thursday, May 14, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Jacqueline was born on March 9, 1935 in Floyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Bert T. and Darthula “Ninnie” Hall Jones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jacqueline was a passionate Kentucky Wildcat fan and loved to play rook.  She dedicated her life to raising her daughters and being faithful, nurturing, and loving to her family. She is survived by: three daughters, Robyn Newman (Ken) Jones of Mays Lick, Belinda Newman of Flemingsburg, and Gwen (Ricky) Hurst of Flemingsburg; grandchildren, Chrystal Ann Singleton of Mays Lick, Nicholas Brian (Bonnie) Brewer of Hilltop, Thom Lowell (Kristen) Platt of Lexington, Gena Elizabeth Hurst, Shelby Newman Hurst, Grayson Wallace Hurst, Colby Andrew Hurst, and William Thomas Hurst, all of Flemingsburg; great-grandchildren, Carter Edwin Brewer, Kenlee Ann Singleton, Deacon Frank Brewer, and Caden Thomas Platt; a niece, Peggy Leah Turner; a nephew, William Brent McCormack; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a sister, Leatrice Joy James; and brother, Lee Roy Jones. Services for Jacqueline will be private with private burial in Sunset Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056 or to CASA, 100 West Third St., P.O.
