Phyllis Humphries

Phyllis Ann Hunt Humphries, 61, widow of James 'Jimmy' Humphries, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, March 19, 2015, with her family by her side. Phyllis was born in Fleming County on November 8, 1953, a daughter of Floyd and Alberta Muse Hunt of Maysville.

She was a homemaker and a member of Hickory Grove Church in Tollesboro. Phyllis loved to sing and she also loved to decorate the house. Phyllis also enjoyed flowers and loved attending her church.

Besides her parents, she is survived by: three children, Robert Allen (Kristal) Humphries of Flemingsburg, Sheila Dawn Gray of Georgia, and Phillip Shane (Robyn) Humphries of Ewing; grandchildren, Destiny Shae Gray of Fleming County, Quentin Tyler Humphries, Hannah Grace Humphries, and Caleb Matthew Humphries, all of Flemingsburg; her siblings, Floyd Bradley (Sissy) Hunt of Maysville, Gary Wayne (Brenda) Hunt of Tollesboro, Joyce Loraine (Anthony) Wilson of Maysville, and James Allen (Kerry) Hunt of Tollesboro; mother-in-law, Gladys Humphries of Flemingsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Charles Emmons and Bro. Herbie Stallard. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Sunday, March 22nd at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Care Club, P.O. Box 189, Flemingsburg, KY 41041.
