Rickie Dan Gates

Rickie Dan Gates, 69, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Robertson County Health Care Facility, in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky.

He was born July 30, 1953, in Nicholas County, Kentucky to the late Eugene Daniel Gates and Gladys Johnson Gates.

Rickie worked at Ladish for several years and was also a CNA at Johnson Mathers Nursing Home in Carlisle, Kentucky and several other nursing homes. He enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed doing yard work.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Hunt Gates. One sister; Melanie Rachel Gates. One brother; Billie Joe Gates, one brother-in-law, Billy Ray Gilvin and one sister-in-law, Geraldine Gates.

Survivors include four brothers: Eddie Gates of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Douglas (Lois) Gates, David (Annie) Gates all of Carlisle and Jimmie (Pat) Gates of Salt Lick, Kentucky. One sister; Georgia Gates Gilvin of Carlisle. One stepson, Bobby Hunt and his special furry friend, his dog Lucky. Also, several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Graveside services conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 16, 2023, at Longview Cemetery in Bethel, Kentucky with Brother Jesse Hickerson officiating.
