Roger Keaton

October 17, 1942 — March 8, 2017

Roger Elvin Keaton, 74, widower of Cathy Keaton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Born October 17, 1942 in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Elvin and Christine Routt Keaton.

Roger was a retired construction worker and attended church in Tollesboro. He will be remembered by his family for his love of hunting, fishing, and working on cars, but most of all for being a good hearted man and loving father.

He is survived by: a daughter, Christina (Timmy) Applegate of Fleming County; a son, Roger Keaton, Jr. of Fleming County; six granddaughters, Amy (Gary) Corns of Lewis County, Jennifer (Robert) Wright of Cincinnati, Carmen Applegate, Katie Applegate, Tifffany Applegate, and Sofia Applegate all of Fleming County; three sisters, Joyce Salcedo of Williamsburg, OH, Emma Fultz of Goshen, OH, and Anita Johnson of Remington, OH; a brother, Clifford Keaton of Fleming County; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Keaton.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 13, 2017 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Layne Wagner. Visitation will be 10am -' 1pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Routt Family Cemetery in Goddard. Pallbearers will be Tim Fultz, Jerry Routt, Gary Corns, Bobby Eckler, Timmy Applegate, Mike Keaton, Jeff Keaton, and Darrell Lear.
