Sandi Gray

Sandi Kachler Gray, 67, of Ewing, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Robertson County Health Care Facility. Sandi was born on October 9, 1948 in Mason County, a daughter of the late Carl and Edith Pregrem Vice.

A retired pharmacy technician at Fleming County Hospital, Sandi was a lifelong member of Mayslick Baptist Church where she loved to sing. In her spare time, she enjoyed sculpting art, making quilts and gardening. Sandi was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly.

She is survived by: her husband, Layne Gray; her daughter, Leisa (Jeff) Phillippi of Somerset; two step-daughters, Tonia (Doug) Darbro of Carlisle, and Melinda (Mike Rainey) Mullins of Cynthiana; grandchildren, Allison and Dylan Phillippi; step-grandchildren, Sadie and Bailey Darbro, and Tanner Mullins; her sister, Wanda (Johnny) Morgan of North Middletown; sisters-in-law, Diana (Freddie) Gore of Ewing, and Roseanne Palmer of Mayslick; brothers-in-law, Bill Kachler of Mayslick, Bill (Janice) Mastin of Charlotte, NC, and Wayne (Judy) Gray of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Charlie Kachler; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Vice; brother-in-law, Billy Zornes; and mother-in-law, Ruby Cracraft.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Mayslick Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Kevin Cornette. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday, April 3rd at the Mayslick Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Mayslick Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of Mayslick Baptist Church, Jim Butler, and Ricky Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Phillippi, Clint Vice, Shane Wallingford, Jaeren Wallingford, Robbie Hickerson, Kelly Hickerson, and Tanner Mullins.

Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056.
