Sherri L. Jordan, 48, of Richmond, KY, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her residence. She was born on September 6, 1968 in Fleming County, the daughter of Linda Story McDonald of Fleming County and the late Marvin McDonald, Jr.

A 1986 graduate of Fleming County High School, Sherri also graduated from Morehead State University with an Associates Degree of Applied Sciences. She was employed with the PTRL Research Center in Richmond and formerly employed with the University of Kentucky Research Lab. Sherri enjoyed playing the piano but her main focus was her two sons, which were the joys of her life.

Besides her mother, she is survived by: two sons, Lee Jordan and Clay Jordan; brother, Tommy (Beverly) McDonald of Hillsboro; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Benny K. McDonald.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Gaylord Gillespie. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, June 20th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fleming County Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Lee Jordan, Clay Jordan, Clint Burgess, Samuel Evans, Cameron Rogers, and Dexter Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb McClurg, and Shawn Horn. Memorials are suggested to DCI Richmond (Dialysis Clinic, Inc.), 100 Keystone Drive, Richmond, KY 40475.
