Sue Hatfield

Sue Ann Hatfield, age 82 of Flemingsburg, beloved wife of 65 years to Sydney Wayne Hatfield, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her residence. Born in Dallas, TX on October 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Keldorf Withrow. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sue was a talented seamstress having made many quilts and she enjoyed handcrafting as well. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed working in the yard planting flowers, trimming shrubs, weed-eating, and keeping the outside manicured. Besides her beloved husband whom she married on October 28, 1953, she is survived by her; daughter, Susan Wyvone (Ray) Sonafelt of Houston, TX; two sons, Ron (Tina) Hatfield of Cincinnati, and Keith (Robin) Hatfield of Flemingsburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers. Services for Mrs. Hatfield will be private. Final arrangements are in care of the Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home.
