Tammy Casey

Tammy Dee Smith Casey, 60, wife of Clifford “Mike” Casey, of Hillsboro, KY, passed away after an extended stay at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington on February 5, 2020. She was born on November 2, 1959 in Pike County, KY. She grew up in Pike County as the daughter of the late Cora Sue and Sidney Allen, who both passed just months before her. Tammy was a graduate of Morehead State University earning a degree in Radiology Technology, and worked for many years as an X-Ray Tech. Tammy enjoyed gardening, the lake, her farm animals and dogs, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Tammy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Mike Casey; her daughter, Brooke Casey (Josh); and grandchildren, Ashtyn and Aidan; her brother, Greg Smith (Lisa); and nieces, Megan and Miracle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a special nephew, Gregory Michael Smith. Tammy will be deeply missed by her family and friends alike. Services for Tammy will be private with private burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Morehead. Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home is in care of final arrangements.
