Wanda Mitchell Vice

December 6, 1932 — September 23, 2025

Wanda Mitchell Vice, 92 of the Elizaville Road, Ewing passed away Tuesday morning at her home after an extended illness. She was born December 6, 1932, in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Willard and Gladys Harding Mitchell.

Wanda was retired from Fleming-Mason Energy and at one time worked for Frank Boone in the Fleming County Clerk's office.

She was the oldest member of the Elizaville Christian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Christian Circle. She was also a member of the Fleming County Homemakers.

Wanda will be lovingly remembered as a woman whose life bloomed with beauty, kindness and care. She had a lifelong passion for flowers and gardening, finding joy in nurturing every seed and blossom. She also delighted in cooking, sharing meals made with love that brought her family together around the table. Most of all she treasured the time spent with her loved ones, creating warm memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband. G. C. Vice who passed away in 2018 shortly before their 65th wedding anniversary.

Survivors include daughter Lisa Ann (Michael) Hamm of Mason County; a son, Terry Michael (Gayle) Vice of Fleming County; grandchildren, Ryan (Myla) Hamm, Cody Hamm, Brandon (Xena Stearos) Hamm, Kimberly Tullar (Chuck) Bailey and David Tullar. Two great-grandchildren, Hadley Bailey and Rhett Bailey. Also, a "special adopted son", Terry (Ann) Kinder and a "special adopted grandson" Gary Kinder.

She was fortunate to have devoted caregivers, Debbie McCord and Amber Jones who provided her with compassion and care in her final days.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Elizaville Christian Church with Rev. Richard Anderson and Rev. Aaron Arrasmith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at the Elizaville Christian Church is after 6:00 P.M. Sunday.

Serving as pall bearers will be Ryan Hamm, Cody Hamm, Brandon Hamm, Terry Kinder, Gary Kinder and Dr. Scott Perkins.

Honorary pall bearers will be Larry Buzzard, Danny Vice, Billy Hillis and Doug Peacock.

 Contributions are suggested to the Ladies Christian Circle at the Elizaville Christian Church or the Elizaville Cemetery.

The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is caring for all arrangements for Wanda Mitchell Vice and her family.
