Woody Ray Muse Jr., 60, of the Wallingford community, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born March 4, 1965 in Shelby Ohio, a son of the late Woody Ray Muse Sr. and Jeanette Carol Brown Muse.

Woody worked in the family business as a blacksmith. He enjoyed tinkering, whittling, making walking canes. He loved the outdoors especially when he was fishing or hunting or riding 4 wheelers. He was of the Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to mourn his passing his family which includes, one son, Justin Ray Muse (Shayna Marie Lockard Muse) of Crittenden, Kentucky; one daughter, Cheyenne Nicole Muse (Eric Aaron Pinales) also of Crittenden; three brothers, Michael Muse (Angie) of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Rocky Muse (Joann) and Jerry Muse both of Morehead, Kentucky; two sisters, Teresa Dunaway (Greg) of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Diana Parker (Denny "Sparky") of Maysville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Omo Pinales, Cattleya Pinales, Alicia Pinales, Jackson Muse, and Jace Justice; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 405 South Main Cross Street, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041 with Brother Myron Logan officiating. 

Woody will be laid to rest next to his mother in the Muse Family Cemetery in Muses Mill.

Visitation is after 12:00 Noon till the hour of service.

Casket bearers will be Justin Ray Muse, Eric Pinales, Mike Muse, Kyle Coyle, Corey Muse, Chase Muse, Brandon Dunaway, and Jace Justice.

Honorary casket bearers will be Denny "Sparky" Parker, Greg Dunaway, Jerry Muse, Rocky Muse, and Calin Muse.

All arrangements for Woody Ray Muse Jr. and family are under the care and direction of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
