Dennis Evans

Frankfort, Kentucky

Dennis Wayne Evans, 75 of Frankfort, Kentucky formerly of Flemingsburg, Kentucky beloved husband of Robyn Meadows Evans passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his home in Frankfort. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky November 2, 1946, to the late Jesse Russell "Red" Evans and Thelma Frances Gulley Evans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Evans.

Dennis was a member of the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church and served in the United States Air Force, United States Army and the United States Army Reserves.  He also served the City of Flemingsburg as a police officer and with the Kentucky State Police as security for the Governor and as facility security in Frankfort.

He and Robyn were also chapter director of Chapter "P" Limestone Wings, GWRRA.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Robyn Meadows Evans. His two beloved fur babies, Titus and Tanner. his son, Chris (Leslie) Evans of Indiana. Two grandsons, Carson Evans of Indiana and Caden Evans of Colorado. One brother Jesse (Jan) Evans of Flemingsburg. He also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law whom he thought the world of.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church with Pastor Robbie Shrout officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.

Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the W. N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5, Franklin Sousley VFW Post No. 1834 and the United States Army.

Visitation at the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church is after 11:00 am Tuesday until the time of services.

Serving as pall bearers will be Jim Gibson, Brian Bowling, Bobby Moore, Jonathan Gooding, Doug Bellamy and Tommy Carpenter. Honorary bearers will be Donnie Carpenter, Gregg Whitt, Bob McGinnis, Terry Carpenter and Leonard Burke.
