Nellie Conley

Nellie Ruth Gardner Conley, age 94 of Flemingsburg, widow of Johnnie B. Conley, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2020 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. Born March 20, 1926 at Plummers Landing, KY, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Howard Gardner and Addie Lois Caskey Gardner. She is survived by: three children, Joyce Porter of Flemingsburg, Wayne (Debbie) Conley of Hillsboro, and Kathy (John) O’Connor of Wallingford; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and three sisters, Helen Conley, Sadie Rice, and Wanda Faris. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: two sons, Billy Gene Conley and Johnny Howard Conley; two sisters, Mary Hedges and Hazel Jackson; a son-in-law, Donnie Porter; and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be private at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home with private burial to follow in Goddard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Conley, Michael Conley, Rick O’Connor, Darrell O’Connor, Corey Hamilton, and Darrell O’Connor II.
