Tammy Kay Buchanan Miller, 44 of Hillsboro, Kentucky passed away Friday evening, September 17, 2021 at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky after a brief illness. She was born January 9, 1977 in Pike County, Illinois to Gary and Judy Williams Buchanan.

Tammy was a preschool teacher at Lakeside Christian Academy in Morehead and was a member of the Flemingsburg Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to cook, swim, nature and care for her animals, especially her dog “Pocho”. She was a kind and caring person that loved children. She was a dedicated and loving grandmother.

Survivors include her husband Mark Miller, whom she married September 5, 1992.

Two sons, Kody Miller of Washington, Kentucky and Clayton Miller of Maysville, Kentucky. One daughter, MarKayla (Jeff) Taylor of Flemingsburg, her parents, Gary and Judy Williams Buchanan, one brother, Tommy Buchanan of Morehead and one sister, Tina (Greg) Schmidt of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Her father and mother-in-law, Clay and Joyce Richmond Miller.

Six grandchildren, Kayden Miller, Samuel Miller, Madeline Taylor, Macie Taylor, Marissa Taylor and Josiah Taylor. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Rev. Herbie Stallard officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Flemingsburg is after 5:00 pm Tuesday.

Pall bearers will be Clayton Miller, Jeff Taylor, Chris Collett, Gary Schmidt, Kody Miller and Tommy Buchanan.
